9 Day Tour - From Casablanca or Marrakech

Experience the perfect blend of Morocco’s imperial cities, stunning landscapes, and desert adventure on this immersive 9-day journey. From the vibrant streets of Casablanca to the blue-hued charm of Chefchaouen, the rich history of Fes, the golden dunes of the Sahara, and the breathtaking Dades Valley, this tour offers a mix of culture, nature, and adventure.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca

Welcome to Morocco! Start your journey in Casablanca, the country’s largest city. Visit the stunning Hassan II Mosque, one of the world’s largest and most beautiful mosques, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Stroll along the Corniche, enjoy fresh seafood, and soak in the city’s lively atmosphere. Overnight in Casablanca.


Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen (The Blue City)

Head to Rabat, Morocco’s capital, to explore the Hassan Tower, Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Udayas. Then, journey north to Chefchaouen, the breathtaking "Blue Pearl" of Morocco. Wander through its cobbled streets, colorful souks, and hidden alleys. Overnight in a charming riad in Chefchaouen.


Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

Depart for the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with stunning mosaics. Continue to Meknes, once an imperial city, where you’ll see Bab Mansour, the Royal Stables, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Arrive in Fes, Morocco’s cultural and spiritual capital, for an overnight stay.


Day 4: Exploring Fes (Guided Tour of the Spiritual Heart of Morocco)

Spend a full day exploring Fes el-Bali, the world’s largest intact medieval medina, with a local guide. Visit:
Al Quaraouiyine University (the oldest university in the world)
Chouara Tannery (witness traditional leather-making techniques)
Madrasa Bou Inania & Nejjarine Museum
Enjoy an evening in a traditional riad.

Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Merzouga (Sahara Adventure Begins!)

Travel south through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco.” Continue past cedar forests in Azrou (where you might spot wild Barbary macaques) and through the Ziz Valley’s oasis landscapes before reaching Merzouga.
In the afternoon, embark on a sunset camel trek through the Erg Chebbi dunes before arriving at your luxury desert camp. Enjoy a traditional dinner, campfire, and live Saharan music under a sky filled with stars.


Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast at camp. Then, travel toward the stunning Todra Gorge, famous for its towering canyon walls. Enjoy a short hike before continuing to the scenic Dades Valley, known for its unique rock formations and lush palm groves. Overnight in a kasbah-style lodge.


Day 7: Dades Valley – Aït Benhaddou – Marrakech

Travel through the Valley of Roses before arriving at the legendary Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO-listed ksar and famous filming location. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass and arrive in Marrakech by evening.


Day 8: Exploring Marrakech (Guided Tour & Optional Visits)

Discover Marrakech’s lively medina with a local guide, visiting the bustling heart of the city, where narrow alleys lead to vibrant souks filled with spices, textiles, and local crafts. Explore historical sites like the Koutoubia Mosque and soak in the lively atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fnaa square, with its street performers and food stalls. With a local guide, you’ll uncover hidden gems and learn the rich history behind this UNESCO-listed medina.
Spend your final evening enjoying the city’s rooftop terraces, local markets, or a traditional hammam experience.

Day 9: Departure from Marrakech
